Danny, a speck in the crowd, keep-to-yourself kinda guy, lives a monotonous life with his spunky girlfriend, Della. But when Della decides to move in, Danny suddenly starts to become haunted by memories of a childhood romance with a girl named Mona. As psychosomatic symptoms start to surface in response to these memories, Danny's reality blends with his his past and he finds himself surrendering to his own invented illusion of reality, sacrificing his tender relationship with Della in pursuit of cherishing the memories of his one true love, Mona. Della is left to grapple with the deterioration of her life as she knows it and learn to let go, pursuing herself for the first time.
